A bilingual storefront

Orders arrive as orders instead of conversations, delivery costs itself, and the shop can finally see what is selling.

The problem

Selling happened in direct messages. An order was a conversation: the customer asked, someone answered with a price, someone else worked out what delivery would cost, and the whole thing lived in a chat thread alongside everything else.

That works until it doesn’t. There was no way to see which products were moving and which were sitting still. There was no way to handle more orders in a day than one person can read. And every delivery cost was a calculation somebody did by hand, one message at a time.

What our engineers built

A storefront that works in Arabic and in English, with a catalogue organised by department rather than one long list, order tracking after checkout, pricing in local currency, and delivery cost calculated at checkout instead of negotiated in a message.

The result

Orders arrive as orders instead of conversations. Delivery costs itself. And for the first time the shop can see which products are selling and which pages people actually visit — which is the difference between guessing what to stock and knowing.
